Comrades in Beer:

I invite you to share some of the elixirs I’ve been acquiring. I guess its been the cold winter here thats pushed me toward the dark side. To wit, I’ll be pouring at least one bomber bottle of these and a few other surprises, along with whatever you’re holding:

Firestone: Reserve Porter, Velvet Merlin stout, Double Jack IPA
High Water: Aphotic stout
Drake’s: Hopopaclypse dipa
Heretic: Shallow Grave porter
Mikkeller: Invasion IPA, To/From holiday ale
Ninkasi: ReNewAle porter

I’ll have some simple foods to fill the need.
Please feel free to bring and share something you have a passion for. That can include food, music, opinions, art or anything else you’re willing to hype.

This and more will all go down at 2332 Harding Ave. in Redwood City starting at 6:30PM on Tuesday February 21.
I can be reached at 650.868.7200 for anything else. cheers! william

Life and club

February 1st, 2012

You say you aren’t asking where have we been? Bah! I know you all want to know. The wife and are renovating our house and while I thought it would be less disruptive it has been a maelstrom of constantly required tweaks and guidance. It’s worth it though, soon we will have a fantastic place to meet.

Not that Google+ picture sharing is all that great but here are some progress photos:

June Meeting

June 27th, 2011

Wednesday, June 27th 6:30pm Haus Staudt! Be there or be beerless! ;)

Opening Day! Going?

April 8th, 2011

Tied House Microbrewery: Don’t forget Beer Train leaves San Jose at 9:10. Car #3! Come find Alison Hopkins, Rosemary Colón, Trinidad Pena, Anali Palacios, and Carolyn. Go Giants! That’s the 9:49 train at the RWC stop.

Public House (at the park): good craft beer, can bring your drink into the park through their entrance. Good light food, patio, no reservations. Gets crowded quick and they close door until people leave.

O’Neills: good Irish pub across from the ball park. Get’s crowded but people come and go so you can always get in plus it’s an Irish pub. What more can you ask for?

21st. Amendment (up 2nd a few blocks): SF made craft beer and outdoor patio! Ok food, upstairs is self seating. Pass you beer through the window if you buy at the bar, no alcohol allowed on the sidewalk. Tip, buy a six pack to go for $9.95 versus a $7 pint.

Momo’s: crowded patio, mixed drinks and cheap beer, good vibe on game day. Good food inside.

Plenty of other joints around the area, explore away! And don’t forget the SF staple Red’s Java House, a bit of a walk towards the Bay bridge but definitely the best burger and a beer on game day you will find anywhere near the park.

Tonight we ride!

William’s Christmas Tasting!

November 30th, 2010

Greetings friends, in place of our regular monthly meeting and to allow your livers to rest up for the early December DCB Beer Friday we will be celebrating winter beers at Williams pad. Details follow. I will be bringing the seasonal releases of Gulden Draak and Delirium Tremens if I can hold out that long. They sure look inviting in my fridge. =)

Wednesday, December 8, 6:30-10:00PM

2332 Harding Ave. Redwood City 94062 lost? call 650.868.7200

A half mile from Jefferson and Alameda De Las Polgas. I’ve got 6 or 8 beers stashed so far for this. I will have food, probably a pot of chili and bread, chips. The event is indoor/outdoor so dress appropriately.

Please bring something you like to share, even if its an opinion.

In the spirit of the Holiday season, respectful friends, family welcome. The more the merrier. cheers!
